About Us
Luigi New York is designed and founded by creative director, Louis Naranjo.
A Brooklyn resident and the youngest child of two Ecuadorian immigrants. Louis named and created his collection as an homage to his mother. Martha’s nickname for her son was “Luigi” and this served as inspiration.
Louis studied costume design at the UNC School of the Arts prior to fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. When creating, Louis always tries to merge his learnings from the two establishments. Constantly inspired by the 70’s esthetic, musical theatre, and flamboyant style. Everything is designed with a certain character in mind and with the intent of making the wearer smile.
Luigi New York is designed and produced ethically in NYC.
To reduce the negative impacts of fast fashion, each garment is made with deadstock fabrics and styles are limited.
